Media HQ is proud to present our Video Basic for Business Workshop facilitated by Suzie Cray and Kirsty Nancarrow from eMotion Video & Production. Break through the noise on social media and raise your profile through the power of smartphone video. In this practical and easy to follow workshop, you will learn what it takes to make engaging, professional looking videos that will connect with your audience.

The three stages of production (pre-production, production, and post-production)
Where to get low-cost, easy to use professional equipment
Video composition: framing, angles & sequences
Lighting and sound for video
Presenting: how to look your best on camera (and reduce nerves)

What you need to bring: A smartphone (preferably less than 4 years old) and headphones for your smartphone.

eMotion Video Training & Production is a collaboration between Suzie Cray and Kirsty Nancarrow, who are veterans of the broadcast industry. These Far North Queensland locals have helped hundreds of creatives embrace video with this practical course.

A little about Suzie and Kirsty.

Suzie Cray won a 2021 Australia Day Achievement Award for producing SES training videos during COVID19. Suzie has worked with Disney Japan, MTV Europe, Foxtel Sports and all major Australian television networks as a video editor, director, camerawoman and graphic designer. She was the Senior Editor and Trainer at Sky News Australia and has mentored professionals and creatives at all levels of experience all over the world.

Kirsty Nancarrow has been a journalist for almost three decades, mostly with the ABC, where she filmed and produced television news stories. She has been recognised by the media industry for her storytelling and camera work. Kirsty has also held many senior communications roles in Australia and the UK. She has been mentoring and training people across all industries in media engagement and videography for many years.
